If a drafted player reaches free agency and is later acquired, his first keeper price is one round later than his original draft round. The annual escalation then begins from that adjusted price.
An undrafted player selected as a keeper begins in the final round, then moves one round earlier in each following keeper season.
After keeper years one, two, and three, the player returns to the draft pool. The original draft season is not counted as a keeper season.
